Cavaliere Commendatore Carlo Eugenio Pio Colombotti obtained his LLB degree at the University of London in 1961 with honours and qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1965.  He advised several Italian institutions, including the Italian Embassy in the UK, and a number of high profile personalities and entrepreneurs.

Contiguous with his practice, Carlo was visiting professor at University College London, President of the British Italian Law Association, Chairman of Sheffield United plc, past Chairman of the Italian Hospital, Vice President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Executive Committee of the Club di Londra.  As an entrepreneur, he participated in numerous business ventures, and served as non-executive director and trustee for several notable institutions.

Carlo was made Commendatore of the Italian Republic twice and, in 1997, he was designated Cavaliere Ufficale (Knight) of the Ordine Dinastici di Casa Savoia.
