Sarah has an MA in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Oxford and qualified as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1978. Having passed the New York Bar Examinations, Sarah was called to the New York Bar in 1980.
Trained at Theodore Goddard, Sarah thereafter joined Nixon Hargraves Devans & Doyle, in New York, where she worked until 1984. Returning to the UK, between 1986 and 1991, Sarah was a main board director of, and of in-house counsel to, Robert Fraser Group Limited whose subsidiary companies included a Bank of England authorised private bank insurance group and asset management enterprise. Subsequently she became a partner at Penningtons and then at Woodroffes, solicitors.
Sarah focuses on general corporate and commercial transactions, venture and development capital raisings, corporate structures and reorganisations. Sarah has worked not only in the UK and USA but also in the Middle East, Russia, Eastern Europe and China.
